The compact and functional devices can be installed on the bridge as well as on the flybridge or other control and monitoring stations on the entire ship. The unit consists of an emergency key and a reset key. Both keys are protected by a hatch against unintended use. The emergency key is designed as locking key switch. After pushing the emergency key the reset key has to be pushed first to enable a new start of the Diesel engine. With locked key starting of the engine is not possible. All operation units AHD-EST are cascadable. The integrated LED illumination ensures a secure operation even in darkness. After executing an emergency stop a led LED is lit on the according unit for identification purposes. With resetting the unit the LED is switched off. A DIP switch on the rear side of the unit enables the selection of a terminating resistor with various values: 18kOhm / 3.3kOhm / 22kOhm / Suppressor diode / without terminating resistor.
