Open the catalog to page 1THE SEAKITE, A DEMONSTRATION VESSEL FOR KITE TRACTION Beyond the Sea has created the SeaKite, an automated kite traction system which is being implemented on board the SeaKite demonstration catamaran. This system reduces the fuel consumption of ships and their greenhouse gas emissions by an average of 20%. The SeaKite is a unique catamaran in the world. It is the first to run on wind, sun and sea energy. Its ambition: to revolutionise mobility at sea via kite traction and electric propulsion produced solely by renewable energy.

Connected to the vessel by its lines, SeaKite is automatically piloted in static or dynamic depending on the wanted propulsive force and the wind direction. The kite can be used alone or in addition to another mode of propulsion. This system offers you fuel savings and allows you to reduce your emissions to comply with EEDI, EEXI and CII. OUR ADVANTAGES The system can be adapted to all types of ships 20% reduction in fuel consumption on average Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions...
Open the catalog to page 3OUR 4 TYPES OF FLIGHTS : Dynamic Stactic Bird CONTROL SCREEN : DYNAMIC FLIGHT : the kite is positioned in the direction of the wind and describes 8, the traction is maximum. STATIC FLIGHT : the kite is perpendicular to the wind, the traction is average. BIRD MODE FLIGHT : the kite has almost no aerodynamic performance, but is self-stable. This mode is used for a safe return and recovery of the kite. FLAG MODE FLIGHT : the kite is tangent to the wind flow at the top of the launch mast and develops no power.

Traction plate : takes 80% of the kite’s traction, provides kite position information to the autopilot. Power lines Steering line Steering line Bird line Launch mast : non-structural, elevates the kite from the turbulences generated by the ship’s superstrucutres. KiteBox Traction plate The system offers you fuel economy, reduced carbon emissions and autonomy.
