best_bar_bypass_stopper - 1

Product update: 2007 Best Bar. When designing and testing the best bar for 2007, Peter and the Best R&D team added a small Velcro tab on the red depower handle to retain the handle whilst in use. This Velcro tab is there for convenience sake, its purpose is to stop the depower handle from flapping in the wind, when depowered, and limit the potential for tangles above the bar. The design is such that when a rider pulls the trim-strap down the Velcro tab pushes against the stopper ball, limiting the total amount of depower that can be achieved with a single downwards pull. When pulling down on the trim strap with the Velcro tab attached, a sharp pull on the depower handle is sufficient to move the stopper ball towards the rider, the only time this will not work is if the bar is resting against the stopper when the trim strap is pulled. To remove this interaction between trim strap handle and stopper ball riders can choose to undo the Velcro tab, freeing the depower handle from its direct attachment to the centre lines. When launching, landing or kiting within 500 meters of any land or hard objects, we recommend not using the stopper ball at all and attaching the Velcro from the depower strap below the stopper ball. The 07 Best Bar was designed with all of these options in mind and we hope that riders will appreciate the added flexibility and safety built into the 07 bar system
