General Specifications
The FIRST 30 sailboat features a length overall of 33’11’’, a hull length of 30’8’’, and a beam of 9’9’’. Design Team

Construction
The sailboat is constructed using vacuum-infused glass fibre sandwich with osmosis-resistant vinyl ester resin. The hull is reinforced with a structural inner-liner, and the deck is fully-cored with polyester resin. The keel is a cast iron with a low drag fin and T-bulb.
Rig & Running Rigging
The rig includes a Z Spars deck-stepped tapered 9/10 aluminium mast with two sets of spreaders. Harken blocks and deck equipment are used for mainsail, jib, and gennaker controls.
Interior
The interior features a saloon with benches that double as auxiliary berths, a galley with a gimbaled gas marine stove, and a front cabin with a double V berth. The head includes a lightweight GRP module with a ceramic toilet and a foldable magnetic door.
Propulsion
The propulsion system includes a Yanmar 2YM15 inboard diesel engine with a shaft drive and a Flex-o-fold 2-blade folding propeller.
Plumbing & Electricity
The plumbing system includes a 100 L freshwater tank and a 12V pressurised water system. The electrical system features a 12V circuit with LED lights and a 12V 105 Ah AGM service battery.
Options Specifications
Optional features include a shallow cast iron keel, a Kreautler electric engine, a Z-Spars carbon mast, and various bowsprit configurations. Additional options include different sail configurations, navigation and electronics packages, and solar and charging packs.
Charging Packs
  • 115V Charging Pack: Includes a 15A battery charger and magnetic circuit breaker, with a galvanic insulator. Available only in North America and Japan.
  • 230V Charging Pack with Inverter: Features a 25A battery charger and 800W inverter, with a galvanic insulator. Not available in North America and Japan and not compatible with other charging packs.
  • 115V Charging Pack with Inverter: Similar to the 230V version but for 115V systems, available only in North America and Japan, and not compatible with other charging packs.
