The Touch Metal Piezo Switch is designed for a 22mm mounting diameter with a PG-16 thread and a 28mm recessed actuation area. It features a one-piece metal housing available in various anodized colors. The switch is mounted using a nut.
Approvals
The switch complies with several standards including MIL-STD - 810C, 202E, 461B, 462, and CE directives for low voltage components. It has an IP69K rating, ensuring compatibility with IEC 60529 and EN 60529, and meets EMC Directive 2004/108/EWG.
Characteristics
The switch is highly reliable, tested for over 50 million cycles, and is weatherproof, suitable for harsh outdoor conditions. It is touch-activated, operable with gloves or tools, sterilizable, vandal-resistant, and requires zero power for operation. It mimics a dry contact switch closure and eliminates RFI, EMI, and ESD issues. A five-year warranty is provided.

Electrical Data
The switch functions as N.O. Momentary with a voltage range of 0-24 AC/DC and a standard current of 0.2A (0.5A optional). It has a rated breaking capacity of 1W, with operating cycles exceeding 50 million. The switch resistance is > 5 MΩ when off and < 20 Ω when on, with a capacity of 30 pF and a pulse duration of 125-300m.
Mechanical Data
The housing is made from Aluminum 6061 T651 or Stainless Steel (303/304). It requires an actuating force of 3-5 Newton, with a connection of 2x22 gauge wires and an actuating travel of 0.002 mm. It has shock protection rated at IK 06 and a fastening torque of 2.5 Nm.
Environmental Data
The operating and storage temperature range is -40 to +125 °C. The switch has an IP69K protection rating for both front and back.
