Awlgrip Trowelable Fairing Compound Standard gives excellent adhesion to primed steel, aluminum and polyester surfaces. Adhesion of the various layers of Awlgrip Trowelable Fairing Compound Standard after sanding exceeds 2.5 N/mm². if several layers of Awlgrip Trowelable Fairing Compound Standard are necessary, each layer must be properly sanded before the next one is applied. Specification Data Type: Two component solvent-free epoxy Color: Yellow Specific Weight: ~1.8 Hardness: ~ 82 Shore D Packaging: Available in 10 Kg sets of base/hardner 2 Theoretical Coverage – 0.9kg/m at 0.5mm of layer thickness Coverage calculations are based on theoretical transfer efficiency of 100%. Actual coverage rate obtained will vary according to equipment choice, application techniques, part size, and application environment. Awlgrip Trowelable Fairing Compound Standard may be applied in layers with a minimum thickness of approximately 4 mils (100 microns) Awlgrip Trowelable Fairing Compound Standard cures in any layer thickness. At 77°F (25°C) Awlgrip Trowelable Fairing Compound Standard may be sanded after 24 hours. After 7 days at 77°F (25°C), curing is complete. Application Equipment At a temperature of 68-86°F (20-30°C) Awlgrip Trowelable Fairing Compound Standard is easily workable with a putty knife, trowel or spatula. Surface Preparation Only apply over properly applied and prepared Awlfair LW or Awlgrip primers.
