Awlbrite Clear provides a far more durable finish than varnish alone, is faster curing and as easy to apply. Do not use below the waterline. Actual coverage rate obtained will vary according to equipment choice, application techniques, part size, and application environment. Recommended Wet Film Thickness: 2.0-2.5 mils (50-62 microns) per coat. Recommended Dry Film Thickness: 1.0-1.2 mils (25-30 microns) per coat. Anticipated Cure Time at 77°F (25°C) /50% R.H: 3 hours to recoat; 12 hours to light service; 7 days for full cure. Recoatability: With itself: 3 hours minimum, 36 hours maximum without sanding or scuffing. Warning: Wood should have no more than 15% moisture content. New / Bare Wood: Awlbrite Clear should only be applied over properly prepared Awlspar (M3131) as part of the Ultimate Brightwork System. Do not apply Awlbrite Clear directly to bare wood. Old Finishes: Old finishes in good condition should be washed with Awlprep Surface Cleaner, then sanded with 220-320 grit paper to remove the gloss.
