Awlbrite Clear is a high build, three-component clear urethane used as a topcoat in the Ultimate Brightwork System. It offers a more durable finish than varnish, cures faster, and is easy to apply. It should not be used below the waterline or applied directly to bare wood.

Application Equipment
Suitable for brush, roller, and spray application. Specific equipment and settings are recommended for conventional and high-volume low-pressure systems.
Surface Preparation
Ensure wood is clean, dry, smooth, and seasoned with no more than 15% moisture. Awlbrite Clear should be applied over prepared Awlspar or Awlbrite Quik-Fil, not directly on bare wood. Old finishes should be tested for compatibility.
Mixing & Reduction
For brushing, mix 2 parts J3005 with 1 part J3006 and ½ part A0031. For spraying, mix 2 parts J3005 with 1 part J3006 and ¾ - 1 part A0001 or A0006. Mix small quantities and avoid shaking.
Application Instructions
Apply light, smooth coats, with two coats in an 8-hour period. Ten coats are recommended for optimal performance. Sand minimally and only when necessary. Avoid direct sunlight and extreme temperatures during application and curing.

Actual coverage rate obtained will vary according to equipment choice, application techniques, part size, and application environment. Recommended Wet Film Thickness: 2.0-2.5 mils (50-62 microns) per coat. Recommended Dry Film Thickness: 1.0-1.2 mils (25-30 microns) per coat.
