AWLBRITE Semi Gloss is designed for professional use on interior wood surfaces, providing a durable, fast-drying, low sheen finish. It is not suitable for use below the waterline and is recommended for interior applications only.
Specification Data
This product is a three-component acrylic urethane with a clear semi-gloss finish. It is available in gallons and quarts, offering theoretical coverage of 930 sq. feet per gallon at 1 mil dry thickness. Recommended film thickness is 2.0-2.5 mils wet and 1.0-1.2 mils dry per coat. Cure time is 3 hours to recoat, 12 hours to light service, and 7 days for full cure. VOC content is 352 g/lt for the semi-gloss and 146 g/lt for the converter.
Components & Application Equipment
The product includes a base (J3630), converter (J3006), and activators (A0001, A0003, A0006, A0031). It can be applied using conventional air atomized spray, HVLP spray, or brush. Specific equipment settings are provided for optimal application.
Surface Preparation
Wood surfaces should be clean, dry, smooth, and seasoned with less than 15% moisture. AWLBRITE Semi Gloss should be applied over sealed wood surfaces.
Mixing & Reduction
The product requires mixing 2 parts J3630 with 1 part J3006 and 1/2 part activator. The mixture should be used in small quantities with no induction time and has a pot life of 1 to 2 hours at 77°F.
Application Instructions
Apply by spray in light, wet coats with a 3-hour tack time between coats. Sanding is minimal and only necessary for leveling or cleaning. Avoid direct sunlight during application and curing.
Warnings
Do not exceed recommended wet film thickness. Optimal application temperature is between 18°C and 35°C. Avoid applying to surfaces less than 3°C above dew point or warmer than 41°C.

PRODUCT DATA SHEET AWLBRITE SEMI GLOSS J3630 Features & Uses AWLBRITE Semi Gloss is a product developed for the professional to aid in the finishing of interior wood surfaces. AWLBRITE Semi Gloss provides a low sheen, 30° gloss finish for interior surfaces where a durable fast drying finish is required. The AWLBRITE product line provides a far more durable finish than varnish, is faster curing and as easy to apply. Do not use below the waterline. These products are recommended for interior use only. Specification Data Type: Three Component Acrylic Urethane. Color: J3630 – Clear Semi Gloss. Packaging: Gallons and Quarts. Theoretical Coverage - Sq. Feet/Gallon: 930 Sq. Feet (86 m²) at 1 mil dry (25 microns); 93 Sq. Feet (8.6 m²) at recommended dry film thickness of 10 coats. Coverage calculations are based on theoretical transfer efficiency of 100%. Actual coverage rate obtained will vary according to equipment choice, application techniques, part size, and application environment. Recommended Wet Film Thickness: 2.0-2.5 mils (50-62 microns) per coat. Recommended Dry Film Thickness: 1.0-1.2 mils (25-30 microns) per coat. Anticipated Cure Time at 77°F (25°C) /50% R.H: 3 hours to recoat; 12 hours to light service; 7 days for full cure. Recoatability: With itself: 3 hours minimum, 24 hours maximum without sanding or scuffing. VOC: Semi Gloss (J3630) - 352 g/lt or 2.9 lbs/gallon Converter (J3006) – 146 g/lt or 1.2 lbs/gallon Application Equipment Conventional air atomized spray or HVLP spray. J3630 can also be applied by brush with excellent results. Do take care to apply thin, smooth coats to avoid uneven gloss level (when applied by brush).
