PC-29A and PC-29B

Product catalog summary
Overview: The PC-29A and PC-29B are pressure transmitters designed for measuring pressure, underpressure, and absolute pressure of gases, vapors, and liquids. They feature a piezoresistant silicon sensor and are available with intrinsic safety certification for use in explosive environments.
Specifications: The transmitters cover a range from 0 to 25 mbar up to 1000 bar, with a hysteresis and repeatability of 0.05%. They have a response time of less than 120 ms and operate within a thermal compensation range of -10 to 80°C. The operating temperature range is -40 to 80°C, and the medium temperature range is -40 to 120°C. The materials used include 316L stainless steel for wetted parts and 304 or 316L stainless steel for the casing.
Calibration and Installation: Calibration can be adjusted using potentiometers to shift the zero position and range by ±10%. The transmitters are lightweight and can be installed directly on the installation. For hot media, a siphon or impulse line is recommended. Special process connections are available for industries like food and chemicals.
Safety and Certifications: The transmitters are available in an ATEX intrinsic safety version for use in explosive zones, requiring an Ex power supply. Recommended power supply is the Aplisens ZS-30/1Ex.
Technical Data: The transmitters offer various measuring ranges and output signals, with accuracy levels ranging from 0.6% to 0.16% for special versions. They have a long-term stability of 0.1% to 0.6% per year and thermal errors typically ranging from 0.2% to 0.5% per 10°C.
Model Variants and Connections: Different models and electrical connections are available, including PD, PZ, PK, PKD, SG, and SGM, with varying degrees of protection from IP65 to IP68. Process connections include threads like M20x1.5, G1/2'', G1/4'', and 1/2''NPT.
Ordering Information: The document provides detailed model codes and descriptions for ordering, including options for casing, electrical connections, and process connections.

Application and construction The PC-29A and PC-29B pressure transmitters are applicable to the measurement of the pressure, underpressure and absolute pressure of gases, vapours and liquids. The active sensing element is a piezoresistant silicon sensor separated from the medium by a diaphragm and by specially selected type of manometric liquid. The electronics is placed in a casing with a degree of protection from IP 65 to IP 68, depending on the type of electrical connection applied. Calibration Potentiometers can be used to shift the zero position and the range by up to ±10%, without altering...
