Safety is of paramount importance to Apeks, a World leader in regulator technology. The new 'Status' range of regulators has been developed with safety at the heart of its design philosophy. It is essential the correct air pressure from your first stage is maintained and that your regulator is in good condition. The Status internal micro-electronic computer continually assesses this vital air pressure and equipment condition utilising state-of-the-art electronics. Status monitors both usage and time visibly informing divers when the regulator is due for a service. Now, for the first time ever, you know your first stage air supply is OK as your regulator actually tells you so.

The Status is an electronic unit which gives the diver the option to visually check the condition of the first stage regulator before a dive begins. High pressure air enters through the first stage connection filter as in a conventional Apeks first stage. This exerts enough pressure on the primary diaphragm to compress the large spring and allows the H.P. Valve Spring to close the H.R Valve, preventing further H.R air flow.
