Product catalog summary
Overview of Electric Winches: Antal winches, ranging from models XT40 to XT70, including maxi models W80.3 ST and W90.3 ST, can be equipped with electric motors. Chromed drum models are typically motorized for heavy-duty use, but aluminum drums can be reinforced with a high-resistance alloy or 316 stainless steel toothed crown gear upon request.
Motor Types: Winches can be fitted with either horizontal motors with worm screws or vertical motors with high-efficiency hypocycloid speed reducers. Both configurations are designed for compactness and silent operation.
Manual Operation: The gearbox-motor unit can be disconnected by inserting a handle, ensuring safety by preventing accidental motor starts from affecting the winch. This also enhances efficiency by eliminating unnecessary friction during manual use.
Speed and Efficiency: Electric winches offer two speeds in both manual and electric modes. Speed selection is crucial for maneuvering, allowing quick initial recovery and precise final adjustments. Electric winches operate at higher speeds than manual ones, but speed can reduce by up to 30% under maximum load.
Construction and Materials: All electric winches are self-tailing and come with a chrome-plated drum. Standard aluminum versions are available, featuring a durable toothed crown gear for long-lasting efficiency.
Installation and Components: The winch system includes F1 screws for winch-to-flange fastening, F2 screws for motor unit-to-flange fastening, and F3 screws for flange-to-deck fastening. The system comprises a motor unit, deck, gearbox, and disengagement system.
Technical Specifications: The document provides a table listing models, wattage, voltage, and amperage for various winch models, indicating the necessary motor and control box specifications.
Switches and Control Box: Each winch requires two watertight switches, available in stainless steel or plastic, with color-coded buttons for speed identification. Solenoids are housed in a watertight control box, compatible with 12 and 24 Volt systems.
Safety Features: A breaker should be installed to protect the motor from overload, ensuring the system's safety and reliability.

ELECTRIC WINCHES All Antal winches, from model XT40 to model XT70, maxi W80.3 ST and W90.3ST can be fitted with an electric motor. The models with a chromed drum are usually fitted with motors, as they are more suitable for heavy-duty applications but, on request, the aluminium drum can be “reinforced” by applying a special toothed crown gear of high resistance alloy or 316 s.steel. HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL MOTORS All the winches may be equipped with a horizontal motor and gearbox with a worm screw. The largest models may be supplied with a vertical motor which uses a high-efficiency hypocycloid speed reducer. Both solutions have been studied to ensure particularly compact dimensions and maximum silent operation. MANUAL USE Simply insert the handle to disconnect the gearbox-motor unit. Greater safety: accidental starting of the motor does not affect the winch, avoiding dangerous turning of the handle. Greater efficiency: the gearbox-motor unit does not turn in manual use, avoiding needless friction. SPEED Electric winches maintain two speeds both in manual use (inverting the direction of rotation of the handle) and in electric use (pressing one of the two control buttons).

In electric winches the speeds are higher than in manual use. The recovery speed, indicated in the tables, is measured without a load; in the presence...
