Classification of contacts SynGuard supports target classification e.g. as unknown, suspicious and friendly. In case of boundary intrusion of unknown contacts an alert is generated. Chart formats In addition to use standard ECDIS vector charts, SynGuard can also display all information on satellite images. SYNGUARD BASIC SYSTEM CONFIGURATION SynGuard uses the ultra-compact, powerful and durable Small Marine Computer (SMC) which is in use for all Raytheon Anschütz bridge workstation. SynGuard is available as a standalone system to upgrade existing or planned bridge system installations. It also runs on multifunctional workstations in order to reduce hardware costs and optimize bridge space.
