Tugboat bridge console - 1

TUGBOAT BRIDGE CONSOLE CONCEPT The Alphabridge Tugboat console concept of tomorrow is a design study, performed by Alphatron, together with some of the biggest Tugboat operators in the world. This design study was made to optimize the ergonomics of a tugboat bridge and is to be seen as an opening to a discussion together with the yard and the Owner on how to optimize operation and viewing possibility onboard tomorrow’s tugboat. Together with Newbuild captains all the different ideas were put on paper and were later on put into a 3D model to see how this would improve operation of the tugboat. Alphatron’s bridge design, called Alphabridge, was able to comply to this new market demand because of its modularity. This ergonomic design is based upon 2 approved screens, showing RADAR and ECDIS at the fore position. Also 2 extra 15 inch screens are part of the fore steering position that are able to show a diversity of information through a smart touch screen switching arrangement, such as CCTV, RADAR, ECDIS, AMS or other information. The aft position has 1x a 15 inch screen showing the same information as shown at the fore position, again selectable via a smart switching arrangement.
