ALPHACONNECT 210 Communication Station Industrial environment communication station to be used at key positions on board, typically steering gear room, thruster room, lifeboat stations etc. Implements the classic talk-back system functions. Technical Specifications Description: The AlphaConnect 210 is a command group unit to be used when installing communication between key positions on board a vessel. Typically steering gear room, thruster rooms, lifeboat stations etc. The AlphaConnect 210 is an IP66 enclosed device, with one single multifunction push button. The unit is powered by 18 - 36V DC. Together with a loudhailer, a headset, an alarm bell and a rotary light beacon, the unit forms a flexible communication station. The AlphaConnect 210 can establish semi-duplex loud speaking conversations using the loudhailer as speaker and microphone and the button as PTT, or full duplex can be achieved using the headset or handset. When the semi-duplex conference feature of the SeaCom 2000 is used in conjunction with up to 10 AlphaConnect 210 stations, a command group conference can be set up. A command group conference, which typically is initiated by the bridge telephone, is a one party speaking and all other listening conference. The PTT button of a AlphaConnect 210 station is used to gain the right to speak. The speaking party and the speech direction can also be forced by the command group initiator—typically the bridge telephone. Wires to power, extension line and devices are conducted via the bottom of the cabinet. The unit receives control and audio via an analog extension line from the AlphaConnect48. The unit is powered by 24V DC. This voltage can be conducted to the unit from the AlphaConnect48 location, as long as cables are designed to avoid voltage drops below 18 V at 1A. (use 1mm2 / 100m). The unit can also be driven by a local power supply. Grounding between supplies must be found.
