Product catalog summary
Overview: Airmar Technology Corporation offers three types of waterproof temperature sensors designed for various applications, including air, liquid, and water temperature measurement. These sensors are known for their accuracy and reliability but are intended as supplementary navigation aids.
Applications:
  • T25: Designed for air temperature sensing, particularly suitable for industrial equipment due to its fast thermal response time.
  • T80: Suitable for measuring both liquid and air temperatures, with a versatile stainless steel housing for surface mounting.
  • T42: Specifically for water temperature measurement, featuring a bronze thru-hull design for installation on fiberglass or wood boat hulls.
Features:
  • All models include a thermistor with a nominal resistance of 10,000 ohms at 25°C (77°F).
  • Each sensor is designed for temperature measurement only, with different housing materials: plastic for T25, stainless steel for T80, and bronze for T42.
Technical Specifications:
  • Weight: 0.2 kg (0.5 lb) for T25 and T80, 0.6 kg (1.3 lb) for T42.
  • Thermal Constant: 15 seconds for T42.
  • Temperature Accuracy: ±2°.
  • Temperature Range: 0°C to 30°C (32°F to 86°F).
  • Installation: T42 requires a hole diameter of 22 mm (7/8”).
Design and Dimensions:
  • T25: 38 mm diameter, 131 mm length.
  • T80: 25 mm diameter, 27 mm length.
  • T42: 62 mm diameter, 7 mm length, with M22-1.5 threads.
Note: Specifications are subject to change as Airmar continuously improves its products. The sensors should not replace traditional navigation aids.
