Sirena ABRcopper based self-polishing antifouling It is a special self-polishing antifouling based on copper oxide and non-polluting components withstanding seaweed growth. The synthetic copolymers of the binder used for the formulation of this antifouling gives the product a controlled release of the antifouling salts throughout its service. With a dry film thickness of 120 microns the antifouling duration can vary from a minimum of 12 months to a maximum of 16 months. It is applied onto steel, fibreglass and wooden boats with a speed up to approx. 20-25 knots. Overcoat then wit h 2-3 coats of SIRENA ABR antifouling, always allowing the required drying time between coats. Apply 1 coat of EVIOX CROMOMINIO followed by 2 coats of SOLVER PRIMER. Overcoat then with 2-3 coats of SIRENA ABR antifouling, always allowing the required drying time between coats. Apply over the gelcoat 1 coat of UNIFIBER PRIMER followed by 2-3 coats of SIRENA ABR antifouling, always allowing the required drying time between coats. Recommendations. ? After the application of the last coat the maximum launching period of the antifouling is 1 month; with top quality copper based antifouling and after agreement with our technical staff, the launching time may extend up to 3 months, providing that the hull is protected from moisture, rain or atmospheric agents with plastic cover or similar material.
