Product catalog summary
Product Overview
Soundac® PU-D30 is a two-component polyurethane compound designed for constrained layer applications on steel and aluminum, particularly in non-horizontal objects and walls. It is formulated to create a structure with a high loss factor, reducing noise from vibrations.

Packaging
- 4 kg A + 0.5 kg B
- 8 kg A + 1.0 kg B

Applications
Used for anti-drumming of walls, non-horizontal floors, and reducing vibration levels in steel structures and machines.

Stock and Availability

Physical Properties
  • Basic color: Brownish
  • Density: 1600 kg/m3
  • Solid content: 100%
  • Solvent: Solvent-free
  • Operating temperature: -20°C to +80°C
  • Application temperature: +15°C to +23°C (max. +25°C)
  • Pot life (unopened): 12 months at +15°C to +23°C
  • Pot life (opened): Approximately 30 minutes
  • Minimum storage temperature: 0°C

Converting and Application
Pre-treatment involves painting aluminum and stainless steel with wash primer, and sandblasting or painting steel. Mix components A and B thoroughly before use. The pot life after mixing is about 30 minutes. Apply the mixture to the specified thickness and lay the constraining metal sheet in the wet layer. Support is needed for vertical applications during drying.

Safety Precautions
The B component contains isocyanides of MDI type. Use protective gloves and goggles. In case of eye contact, flush with water and seek medical attention. Remove skin splashes with soap and water or alcohol. Ensure good ventilation in working areas.

Performance
Drying time at +20°C is 8 hours, with maximum acoustical performance achieved after 5 days.
