Soundac PU-D20

Product catalog summary
Description
Soundac® PU-D20 is a two-component polyurethane compound designed for constrained layer applications in steel and aluminum horizontal objects and floors. It forms a viscoelastic damping layer that significantly reduces noise from vibrations by creating a structure with a high loss factor over a wide temperature and frequency range. It can be easily combined with Soundac® AS sound absorbing foams.

Application
Soundac® PU-D20 is used for anti-drumming in horizontal floors and reduces vibration levels in steel structures and machines. The materials are always in stock, and inquiries for quotations and availability are welcome.

Converting
Surface pre-treatment is necessary: aluminum and stainless steel should be painted with wash primer, while steel should be sandblasted or painted. Components A and B must be thoroughly mixed, with a pot life of about 30 minutes. After mixing, the compound can be poured to the specified thickness, and the constraining metal sheet should be laid in the wet layer.

Safety
The B component contains isocyanides of the MDI type. Protective gloves and goggles are required. In case of eye contact, flush with water and seek medical attention. Skin contact should be cleaned with soap and water or alcohol. Ensure good ventilation in working areas.

Soundac PU-D20-1

Soundac® PU-D20 Two-component sandwich anti drumming for floors Description Soundac® PU-D20 is a twocomponent polyurethane compound designed for use in constrained layer applications of steel and aluminium in horizontal objects and floors. ® The Soundac PU-D20 viscoelastic damping layer is a specially formulated polyurethane polymer designed to produce, together with the steel construction and a steel sheet constraining layer, a final structure with very high loss factor over a wide temperature and frequency range. This dramatically reduces noise generated by vibrations in the structure. 6,7 kg A + 1,0 kg B The PU-D20 is well suited and easy to combine with ® the Soundac AS sound absorbing foams.
