Applications
Soundac® IS mats are effective in reducing sound in applications such as floor and wall panels, engines, machines, compressors, generators, air ducts, piping, and separation walls. They can also be used as acoustical curtains.

The materials comply with directive 94/25/EC as amended by 2003/44/EC (ISO 4589-3: 1996), making them suitable for yacht building.

Installation Recommendations
To prevent sound leakage, all joints should be sealed thoroughly. The mat should preferably be glued across the entire surface to the substrate.

Soundac® IS Flexible barrier mat with on both sides hessian Description The Soundac® IS mat is a vinyl sound barrier mat composed of polymers filled with the natural mineral barium sulphate free of lead, unrefined oils and bitumen. The hessian back on both sides is used for added strength, dimensional stability and an easy surface to use glue on plywood for example. The mat is usually fixed in intimate contact with the original panel.
