Product catalog summary
Overview
The ACO PowerVAC units are designed for efficient vacuum generation and sewage transfer in marine applications. They are suitable for vacuum toilet systems, black water collection, and wastewater transfer, offering various models with different pump capacities, including high-head options.
Specifications
The units feature a robust pump design with a close-coupled electric drive, high-quality materials, and a cartridge-type mechanical seal system. They are designed for easy maintenance, allowing simple access to pumping elements and wear parts.
Process Description
The ACO PowerVAC unit is central to the vacuum toilet collection and transfer system, creating a powerful vacuum for efficient wastewater collection and transfer. The positive displacement pumping principle allows direct transfer to a treatment plant or holding tank without a temporary reservoir. The compact design is ideal for limited spaces and is easy to install and service.
Technical Details
The pump head includes two intermeshed rotors on gear-driven shafts, creating a vacuum at the pump inlet. The units are self-priming and handle dry-running and foreign objects, eliminating the need for macerating black water. This improves solid separation in downstream systems.
Performance Data
Various models are available with different power, voltage, air, and water capacities. For example, the PV120 model offers a nominal power of 2.2 kW at 50 Hz, with a water capacity of up to 11.8 m3/h and a maximum differential head of 20 meters.
Customization
High-head transfer pump versions are available with powerful electric drives for demanding discharge requirements. Bespoke specifications can be requested to match specific on-board needs.

ACO DataSheet PowerVAC-1

ACO Marine Data sheet ACO PowerVAC - Vacuum Generation & Wastewater Transfer Units The ACO PowerVAC vacuum pumping unit forms the centrepiece of the centralised vacuum toilet collection and transfer system. The ACO PowerVAC unit is designed to create a powerful vacuum within the vacuum line network to ensure efficient and reliable wastewater collection and transfer. The positive displacement pumping principle allows a transfer of wastewater directly to a wastewater treatment plant or holding tank without the need for a temporary collection reservoir. The compact, close-coupled pump design provides a small footprint which makes the unit ideal where space is limited. The ACO PowerVAC unit is simple to install and service thanks to its compact and well thought-out Easy-to-Maintain design. ACO PowerVAC - Efficient & flexible vacuum generation & sewage transfer units for marine applications ▪ Designed for vacuum toilet, black water collection systems & wastewater transfer ▪ Powerful vacuum generating and two-phase wastewater/ air pumping unit. ▪ Different models and pump capacities available including high-head wastewater transfer pump options. ▪ Robust & reliable pump design with close coupled electric drive. ▪ High quality pump materials & cartridge type mechanical seal system. ▪ Pumps are designed according to the easy-to-maintain principle. Easy access to the pumping elements, wear parts and sealing system by simply removing the ‘wet end’ pump cover Process description The pump head provides two intermeshed rotors which are each fixed to a gear driven shaft. The shafts rotate in opposite directions. The rotating motion of the rotors creates an expanding cavity on the suction side which maintains a strong vacuum at the inlet of the pump. Wastewater and air enter and fill the suction side of the pump. The rotors carry the twophase fluid around the housing to the discharge side where it is expelled out of the pump by the closing cavity. The PowerVAC units are self-priming and insensitive to dryrunning and foreign objects. Therefore there is no requirement for macerating of black water in front of the pump which can improve the solid separation process i
