Self-Leveling Seam Sealer

Product catalog summary
Product Description: The 3M™ Self-Leveling Seam Sealer is a two-part epoxy designed for sealing seams in metal enclosures, such as auto bodies. It is self-leveling, ideal for horizontal applications, and requires a top coat of paint for outdoor use due to UV exposure.
Features: The product features a two-part flexible epoxy chemistry, comes in a 200 mL dual-syringe cartridge, uses metered static mixing, and has a self-leveling formula.
Typical Physical Properties: The sealer has a density of approximately 9.3 to 9.8 lbs/gallon, a viscosity of 5,000 to 15,000 CPS, and a service temperature range of -20°F to 180°F. It is clear in color and has a flash point greater than 200°F.
Product Uses: Primarily used in the auto body industry to replace roof division channel sealers. It is not recommended for vessels containing liquids under pressure. Suitable for some architectural or industrial applications, but testing for suitability is advised.
Performance Properties: At 70°F, the work time is 8 minutes, mix nozzle dwell time is 6 minutes, cure time is 1 hour, and paint time is 15 minutes. It has a tensile strength of 7995 PSI and elongation of 8%.
Directions for Use: Surfaces must be primed with a 2K urethane or epoxy primer. The product is applied using specific applicators and mixing nozzles. It should not be used with acid etch primers and requires protection from running or dripping.
Storage and Handling: Store in a dry area at 72°F for a shelf life of 12 months. Avoid contact with acids and oxidizing agents. Handle with care to avoid inhalation and contact with eyes.
