The RS Tera is easily righted from capsize, with the self draining cockpit and built in righting lines assisting quick and safe recovery. Capsizing is part of the fun! RS Tera sailors have the opportunity to sail simply for fun or develop their skills and make new friends within the Class Association’s training and racing programmes up to World Championship level. Strict one design racing means the best sailor wins. From a schools perspective, youngsters can progress through RYA stages without re-teaching skills, resulting in quick progression. Long lasting value The smaller Sport sail is durable Dacron and can be reefed around the mast. The Mylar Pro sail is fully battened - Giving more performance and excitement. Both can fit on the same spars, meaning that upgrading is easy and cost effective as your child improves and grows. There is a mini Dacron sail for windy conditions or very light children. RS Comptec PE3 construction means the Tera is stiff, very strong - Perfect for training as well as racing. Less time and money on maintenance. It’s light enough on a trolley to be launched by youngsters and rigged in minutes. It can easily take up to two children and can even be rowed on those windless days! The Tera is light enough to be car-topped and as the two part mast fits within the length of the hull, it’s easy to transport.
