Rudder Bearing Systems TD09 In line with Clements Marine's philosophy to supply an increasingly broad range of sterngear components, we have introduced the Strong Products/Tides Marine range of rudder bearings and rudder seals. This comprehensive series of self aligning and fixed bearings covers a range of rudder stock diameters from 25mm through to 127mm and meets most requirements for replacement or new rudder bearing installation programmes. ALL RUDDER BEARINGS AND RUDDER SEALS ARE AMERICAN BUREAU OF SHIPPING APPROVED. The information above shows an example of the standard upper rudder bearing assembly URB-STD. A lower rudder bearing assembly RPB Type D and its installation schematic are shown on page 2.

Rudder Bearing Systems TD09 page2 Tides Marine have also developed a unique system for installation in that the Strong Type-D rudder port system allows an integrated approach to rudder port design. Unlike the conventional post lay-up system for rudder tube installation, Type-D System components are built into the hull at the time of lay-up resulting in a stronger and better performing rudder tube assembly.
