To inflate a Zodiac life raft, pull the painter line its full length and then give a firm tug to start the inflation process. The pressure of the CO

2

from the cylinder inflatingthe life raft automatically opens the canister or valise, allowing the gas to inflate the 2 buoyancy tubes and arch. About twenty seconds is all it takes for the life raftto take shape and be ready for use.
