Announcing Yale’s new high-performance cover!

Yale’s new VMG cover offers competitive sailors a real upgrade in performance. Running rigging undergoes tremendous stresses around the race course as sheets and guys are played around the winch and through blocks and clutches. Yale’s engineers realized that a conventional braided cover would not provide the required levels of heat absorption and abrasion resistance. VMG is braided on Yale’s 48-carrier machinery under exacting specifications, using a unique blend of Technora and Polyester. The Technora fiber is more pronounced and positioned to take maximum abuse, while the Polyester fiber gives excellent handling characteristics. VMG covers excel at dissipating heat and standing up to the abrasion common to performance sailing. 10mm size for smaller finished diameters (5/16 " – 7/16 " ) 12mm size for larger finished diameters (7/16 " – 9/16 " ) 48-carrier construction provides a non-bulky cover allowing maximum core diameter and strength Hard-wearing blend of Technora and polyester for maximum abrasion resistance, heat resistance and longevity Engineered and tested to perform in the most demanding conditions Polyester fleck pattern permits custom colors for easy line identification Can be combined with Yale’s single braids in Dyneema, Spectra, Vectran or PBO for the ultimate in custom performance.
