Höhenunterschiede, thermische Einflüsse und Feuchtigkeit wirken auf das Gehäuse ein. Dadurch entstehen unterschiedliche Druckverhältnisse zwischen Gehäuseinnenraum und Umwelt.
Altitude differences, thermal effects and moisture have an effect on the casing. This results in different pressure conditions between the interior of the casing and the surroundings.
Eine Membran ist in der Lage, Feuchtigkeit zu absorbieren und dennoch einen Luftaustausch zu gewährleisten, was die Druckverhältnisse im Gehäuseinneren der Umgebung anpasst.
A membrane is able to absorb moisture and still guarantee air exchange, which adjusts the pressure conditions in the inside of the casing to the surroundings.
Ventilating was a thing of the past. As of today, breathing is in.
Until now, the simplest solutions also created the greatest problems. In order to ventilate a casing, there have been various counter measures that were cost and time intensive such as interior heating, trickeling holes or external ventilation elements. Often, requiered degree of protection could no longer be guaranteed.
With VentGLAND*, these approaches are unnecessary, because it prevents the problems from occurring. The cable gland has a micro-porous, liquid-tight PTFE membrane that literally lets the casing breathe, which then compensates different pressures inside and outside the casing. Hence, condensation is reduced to a minimum while the high-tech membrane seals VentGLAND* in such a way that dirt and water can not penetrate into the inside of the casing. VentGLAND* meets the high requirements of IP 69K.
Discover all the advantages of the innovative cable gland from WISKA.
