O

arlock sockets are manganese bronze, precision machined, andbolted completely through the gunnel with bronze bolts to ensure that they never fail. The daggerboard or centerboard wells and mast support systems areconstructed of solid fiberglass heavily reinforced and integrally molded to the hull. Cast bronze centerboards pivot and kick up on impact. A cast bronze “whale’s tail” and stainless cable raises or lowers the centerboard. The rudder/tiller, built of solid teak, features a kick up or lock downsystem. A built in retainer clip keeps the rudder firmly secured while underway.

ow and stern eyes are integral and copper sleeved, vastly superiorto protruding bow eyes and extremely strong for towing purposes. Sailboat boats can be hung on boat davits or boathouse rafters using bow and stern eyes. Custom marine lift rings can also be installed when required.Model names are cast into the bronze bow caps. Bronze bowcapsand transom corners protect these areas and add traditional, old world charm.

Whitehall boats are built to be around for half a centuryor more and handle many times the abuse of a wooden hulled boat. The builder’s plaque, cast in bronze, carries the official hull number. (A serial number is also cast into the transom gel.) Like a limited edition print Whitehall boats are designed and built to increase in value and become heirlooms enjoyed for generations.
