		MINTO ROWING
		MINTO ROWING		BOAT SAILING DINGHY

					The sailing version of the Minto is fitted with a "salty" standing lug sail rig, the preferred rig for a small powerboat for a variety of reasons. The large sail area possible on a low mast reduces the

					heeling moment of the boat supplier (tendency to tip) without sacrificing performance. This rig is fast and easy to set up. Unlike a "dipping lug" it can be tacked without lowering the yard and shifting it from one side of the mast to the other. The free standing mast requires no stays or wires and simply lifts for boats out of its socket to stow within the boat. The sail can be dropped while underway. Optional reefing is available.
