WHITEHALL SPIRIT"14' ROWING & SLIDING SEAT
Those desiring the benefits of a low impact full body workout
love rowing a Whitehall Spirit 14 fitted with a sliding seat unit, bronze outriggers and 9'6" sculls.
It offers stability, comfort and safety that is not possible in a typical rowing shell. Rowing with a sliding seat uses 800 calories per hour, about double that of jogging, and you can even take along a friend or two.
Leg power harnessed by using a sliding seat eases arm and back stresses significantly. Because both legs push together knee strain is also minimal. Rowing a slide seat sailboat boat is easy to learn and a copy of our DVD comes with the boat. The sliding seat unit and or aft rowing seat can be installed or removed in moments. It is mounted over top of the centerboard well on a navigational model. The hinged bronze outriggers self-stow by folding inboard when not in use, resting on an inlaid copper coin when the aft rowing seat is installed.
The optional solid teak floor features built in traditional footstops and is removable for maintenance and cleaning.
