Shoreside conversations stop when a pair of rowers stroke into view in a Whitehall Spirit17equipped with sliding boat seats and cast bronze outriggers.
Featuring two sliding seat stations and rowing sculls this marine boat moves right along. It can easily be handled by a single rower. If there's wave action or a chop on the water, no problem, that's what Whitehalls were designed to handle.
The sliding seat units can easily be removed in minutes and replaced with the regular bench thwarts for traditional rowing. The hinged bronze outriggers hold the sculls securely in place and can boat hinge fully inboard, handy when landing at a quay, or during transport. They also cleverly feature a traditional oarlock position cast into the base enabling traditional oars to be used as backups or for tighter maneuvering in crowded situations.
Optional teak floors give the boat a yacht-like appearance and feature built in traditional footstops. The sailing model can also accommodate sliding seat units which mount above the mast socket and centerboard trunk.
