This instrument consists of a plotter mounted on a roller. The plotter contains distance scales at 1:20,000, 1:40,000, and 1:80,000 to fit the N.O.S. Coast and Harbor Charts,as well as an inch scale. Included are a semi-circularprotractor for measuring courses and bearings against a meridian on the marine chart, and two quarter circle protractorsfor measuring courses and bearings against a parallel oflatitude. Courses and parallel lines are transferred and kept parallel by means of two rollers which are mountedon a slide axis. Course Plotter

This is a 15" course plotter with a semi-circular protractor scaled from 180Ëš to 360Ëš inside. Lower edge scales 1:80,000 and 1:40,000 to accommodate National OceanSurvey charts. For north and south courses, a smallauxiliary protractor scale is printed inside the larger one and is used against a parallel latitude.
