This famous float comprises expanded polystyrene protected by glass reinforced concrete – it is tough, durable and virtually maintenance free. The design has the following features: • Unsinkable. • Virtually maintenance free. • No corrosion. • No electrolytic action. • Stainless steel fixings. • Polystyrene core FIBRE CONCRETE FLOATS THE WALCON CONCRETE FLOAT HAS A PROVEN RECORD OF MORE THAN 30 YEARS SATISFACTORY SERVICE. STRUCTURE The float comprises expanded polystyrene core protected by 19mm of glass reinforced concrete. FIXINGS Four Stainless Steel (grade A4) fixing bolts are cast into the top surface for normal use, although through-bolt connections with timber bearers may be used where the units are expected to take the ground.
