Synchro-converter boards They are designed in such a way that an optimum of system flexibility and feasible redundancy is achieved. Each power system of the converter board is connected to the main switchboard via a propulsion transformer in such a way that in case of a malfunction in one power thyristor bridge, or one switchboard, 50% of rated torque will remain available on the shaftline.
