SYSTEM BENEFITS • Low electrical consumption • Low carbon footprint due to optimized weight • Easy operation • Control panel included with automated system The Wärtsilä Serck Como Single Stage Desalination (SSD) fresh water generator uses the process of vacuum distillation to remove the salt and other impurities from seawater and convert it into high quality, drinkable fresh water. Thanks to the low seawater flow the Wärtsilä Serck Como SSD consumes a reduced amount of electricity. The system uses a vacuum distillation process that enables the use of low temperature heat. The generator utilises the waste heat from the main diesel engine or other alternative heat sources to evaporate the seawater. The technology is simple and has a modular design. The automated operation and low maintenance requirements enable continuous and user friendly handling.

DIMENSIONS & TECHNICAL DATA Model The weights given for the fresh water generators are in an empty condition. An additional 10% should be assumed for their operational weight. The weight and dimensions include the control panel.
