PRODUCT INFORMATION
M153
Chopped Strand Mat for Hand-Lay Up
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This product is produced using Advantex® glass fiber. Advantex® glass fiber combines the electrical and mechanical properties of traditional E-glass with the acid corrosion resistance of E-CR glass.
The M153 chopped strand mat is made with large or high size strands of Advantex® Glass Roving for boats, held together by a powder binder which is extremely soluble in styrene. The basic strand has a sizing system containing a silane coupling agent.
This sizing system of the strands and the nature of the binder also make M153 suitable for use with epoxy, vinylester and anticorrosion resins for boats.
