Veth-Compact-Jet

The VETH-COMPACT-JET is a state-of-the-art thruster, designed for main propulsion, and particularly appropriate for shallow draught conditions. The Compact-Jet is another product of Veth Motoren who is one of the leading thruster suppliers with over 1000 thrusters running world wide in all kind of applications. The system consists of a round rotating construction. The unit is provided with a hydrodynamic streamlined channel. The propeller is placed under an angle. The water is sucked up diagonally from underneath the ship and pushed in any desired direction. The streamlined form of the channel ensures a high thrust. The COMPACT-JET is an excellent solution for ships wherehigh manoeuvrability is desired. As both the suction side and the outflow side rotate together with the construction, the same thrust is achieved over 360°. The unit is made of st. 52-3, is sandblasted and coated .The suction side has a grid for protection. The propeller is standard made of CuNiAl and runs in an stainless steel suction tube. The outlet of the channel is provided with hydrodynamic spoilers guiding the water in the right direction.
