In addition to the successful range of bow and stern thrusters, Verhaar Omega has developed and designed an entire range of nitrogen gene rator systems for use onboard of chemical tankers, oil / product carriers, gas tankers and offshore applications.

Product philosophy

The Verhaar Omega nitrogen generators for boats are designed by using innovative solutions for known and existing issues with other systems available on the market. Listening to the specifi c requests from shipyards, ship-owners, classi-fi cation bureaus and plant operators, our systems are designed, manu-factured and delivered based upon the following product features. Unit design

The standard units are constructed in such way that they will withstand perfectly the harsh environment often found on board for boat of boat ships and on offshore applications. Special measures are taken to eliminate damages caused by vibration and corrosion due to salty air. The unit is fi tted with complete stainless steel piping and instrumentation, while the frame construc- tion is preserved by a high quality marine paint system. The parts used in the control, boat computer and instrument area are of the best quality available, and are designed for operating in mining, trucking, offshore and shipping. Flexi- ble pipe for boats connections are fi tted on to the oxygen outlets towards the oxygen manifold. Valves used in the system are fi tted with chemical resistant seats and seals. This to prevent any damage or leakage at the nitrogen generator in the unlikely event of cargo liquid or when gas is entering upstream the nitrogen generator. For easy hook-up on to the ship’s piping system, all in and outlets on the unit are positioned on the same side. An easy accessible area is reserved for connection and entry of the electrical wiring. Details as brass grounding connections, lifting lugs and mounting holes are standard features.
