If the power supply is correct Firstly, make sure the battery is charging from the engine
alternator for boat (i.e. check that the engine is on), that thethermostat is set to the coldest point (-30°C) or that the timer is set to 60 minutes.
If all these checks are positive, make sure that:
1) The battery power supply arrives in the correct way with + and – inserted in the right terminals. >
2)
The circuit fuses are complete. If a fuse has blown, find out why before replacing it. Replace it withanother of equal value. If this check is also negative >
3)
If the system still does not work Make a bridge between terminals 0-1 of the electric box. This bridge forces operation regardless of theconsent of the CA start up contact. 4) Leave the bridge between 0-1 and make a bridge between 2-3. This bridge forces operation regardlessof whether the thermostat or timer are working. If your system still does not work at this point, it means that the possible cause of the malfunctioning can beattributed to an interruption of the safety circuit.
This circuit includes:
HP: High pressure switch
LP : Low pressure switch
In this case, make a bridge on one safety at a time until you find the one that is open one. Digital control box 6.2 – POSSIBLE CAUSES OF SAFETY INTERVENTIONS Digital Card’ paragraph for thealarms legend.
WARNING:
If the ‘POWER’ LED is flashing there may be insufficient voltage in the battery, or an incorrect Vcut-in and Vcut-
out setting. If the ‘POWER’ LED is not lit up on the
control panel for boats, check the power supply or the integrity of the fuse on thepower cable.
If the fuse is at fault, find out why before replacing it.
If the ‘POWER’ LED is on, then the power supply is OK and the fuse is fully operational. In this case the user
will be alerted to the problem via a flashing ‘ALARM’ or ‘POWER’ LED. See the ‘ Here are some of the causes that may interrupt the safety circuit and therefore block the
refrigerator for boats unit. In thephotograph below, you can see the position of the high and low pressure switches. 6.2.1 – TOO MUCH PRESSURE IN THE CONDENSER – HIGH PRESSURE ALARM (HP) The condenser cools the vapour arriving from the compressor at high pressure and temperature, allowing it tocondensate into liquid state, thereby reducing volume and pressure. If this does not happen, the internal
pressure increases until the pressure switch (HP) detaches the compressor.
Here are the possible causes: 6.2.1.1 – LOW WATER CIRCULATION 6.2.1.2 – TOO MUCH COOLANT FLUID As the system is immediately sensitive to a reductionin water flow, this is verified by checking the circuit
components (sluice gate, pump, filter etc.), and
bringing it to normal levels (4l/min) before resetting the
safety circuit. If circulation is correct, this alarm may
mean that the pressure switch is defective (6.3.1.4) or
some other problem has occurred. This may occur after refilling the system. If the cooleris new, seek advice from an authorized Frigoboat
service centre. If the cooler has already been refilled,
proceed as follows:
when the system is switched off, release the gas slowly for a few minutes, pressing the inside of the valve on
the high pressure side of the compressor after removing the safety cap. Try running the system again and 12 >
