Combining propulsion and steering
The EPS™ azimuthing thruster performs both the propulsion and steering functions, making conventional
propulsion and manoeuvring systems unnecessary.
The EPS™ azimuthing thruster is extremely suitable when enhanced manoeuvrability is required in
applications such as dynamic positioning and ship docking services.
The 360° azimuthing thruster is characterised by a compact design. It can be freely rotated over
360 degrees without limitations, allowing for optimum operational freedom. Reliability and safety are
key factors throughout the design, with only the best components being used.
