Mooring units
Quick release hooks (QRH), quick release hawser
hooks (QRHH) and chain stoppers (CS) are the
primary anchor points for securing mooring lines,
chafe chains and hawsers. Manufactured from
high-quality material to OCIMF guidelines, Trelleborg
Marine Systems' hooks and stoppers have proven to
be the industry benchmark in terms of strength and
reliability.
Quick Release Hawser Hooks
• For FSO and FPSO, bow and stern mooring
• Secure the end link of the mooring assembly or
mooring hawser eye
• Capacities range up to 850 t MBL
Chain Stoppers
• For FSO, FPSO bow and stern mooring or spread
mooring
• Secure the common link of stud link anchor
ranging from 76 to 110 mm diameter
• Capacities range up to 1030 t MBL
• Optional chain tensioner
Quick Release Hooks
• For FLNG ship-to-ship mooring, lightering and
offshore terminals
• Secure the mooring hawser soft eye and are
generally installed in multiple-hook configuration
with an integrated capstan
• Single hook capacities range from 60 t to 150 t
SWL
Design Features and Options
The following are common to all Trelleborg mooring
hooks.
• Positive locking to ensure the mooring unit does
not open inadvertantly when the mooring line is
loaded
• Can be released at any load from zero to full safe
working load
• Electo-mechanical interlocks to guard against
unintended release
• Load monitoring via integral load cell
• Local alarms for high load warnings
• Remote release system
• Alternative mounting options including welding and
bolting
• Optional telemetry system for load monitoring and
remote release
• Classification society approvals for Lloyds, DNV,
ABS, BV and RINA upon request.
