We used to say we were here to make boards. Now, our mission is bigger: do less bad stuff, do more good stuff - and share how easy that is. We take trash and up cycle it into paddle board components. We plant trees that absorb over 100,000,000 kg C02 over 20 years. In fact, we've just planted over 100,000 Mangrove trees - enough to compensate for over ten times our total C02 emissions, including raw mats for manufacturing all products, our travels and certainly the printing and shipping of this recycled-paper catalogue. And we do it all while building the best paddle boards on the planet. In the boards we make and world we help shape, the goal is the same: balance.

No doubt, as a manufacturer Starboard is a polluter. But we can transform our overall net impact into a positive by working hand-in-hand with our innovative eco-partners. Our goal is to shape ocean-friendly initiatives and discover alternatives. In the 2017 fiscal year our company's carbon footprint was about 3,600 tons. In the main it was caused by our products' raw materials and assembly, the rest came from our team's extensive air travel.
