IN-BOOM FURLING SYSTEMS A blend of form and function Designed to furl the sail at any angle and adjust the sail in any weather condition, Southern Spars offers two world class in-boom furling solutions; the Southern Furl and the Leisure Furl. Although different in engineering and styling, both systems deliver the ultimate solution: reliability on any scale and performance under any condition. Engineered by experienced sailors who know what makes a difference in challenging conditions, these systems incorporate ease of use, reliability, performance, and idealweight distribution. It includes a unique fl exi feeder system and an internal hydraulic outhaul adjustment. Overall the boom has a sleek, more rounded appearance. The Leisure Furl has an open front end boom designed with a smaller luff ramp profi le. It has the hydraulic drive system positioned at the out-board end. The Leisure Furl’s defi ned lines and smooth surfaces create a distinctive appearance. Both systems can be retrofi tted.
