DC-3Dampin g Compound

Soundown’s DC-3 Damping Compound is a viscoelastic, spra y able liquid sound damper. It hasbeen found to be highly effective in reducin g vibrational resonance conditions in structures such as passen g er rail cars, elevator cabs, marine passen g er and car g o vessels, stainless steel boat sinks and other plumbin g fixtures, sheet metal marine panels, floor housin g s, and a multitude of othe r applications. DC-3 dissipates structure-borne vibrational energy and reduces radiated air-bornenoise. DC-3 is resistant to water and a variety of solvents, acids and corrosive gasses. It is non-toxic,non-flammable, almost odorless and exhibits exceptional aging characteristics.Water based and non-toxic, D C - 3 offers an efficient and effective alternative to solven t -basedsprayable damping products, as well as sheet applied damping materials. DC-3 can be spra y ed or toweled directly from the drum without thinning. After application, DC-3 cleans up with water. A t y pical setup to spra y
- D C - 3 consists of a 30:1 airless marine pump, a revers e -a-clean
airless gun with a tip size of 0.043", a ram and a surge boat tank. DC-3 exhibits exceptional adhesion to a variety of materials when properly applied, and air-drieswithin 24 hours at room temperature. The dr y in g time can be accelerated throu g h oven dr y in g using moderate temperatures. Its normal "tan" color may be varied for decorative purposes. KEY ATTRIBUTES OF DC-3 ?
