In order to take fully advantage of the PI44 functionality, you should exploit the interfaces. In addition to the sensor data interfaces, the PI44 also includes a fully featured dual frequency echo sounder. Using dedicated buttons, the echo sounder is very easy to use. You can even superimpose the sensor data onto the echogram, and thus achieve a graphic presentation of the underwater situation.
Apart from this, the operator unit can be connected to external navigation instruments in order to receive the vessel's position, speed and heading on NMEA format. Connected to a Simrad Combi transducer you can also read the water surface temperature.
