MS50/33/55 SatCom
Spot beam or Global Coverage
A SatCom solution for yachts of all sizes
With a Simrad SatCom system on board the world can seem a little smaller. You can contact your friends and family, your office or business partners, just as you would on land. Communicate with voice, data and fax from any ocean on the planet.
Utilizing the Inmarsat Fleet platform, the Simrad MS33 and MS55 systems offer a flexible choice for different vessels and usage. The state-of-the-art marine communications cover a range of cost-effective applications, such as telephone, fax, e-mail and internet access - even when you are out of reach of conventional cellphone or radio networks.
The MS33 is designed for smaller and medium sized motor and sailing yachts, whereas the MS55 is more suitable for larger vessels - from ocean-going cruisers to business-oriented yacht owners and superyacht skippers; owner and crew.
The MS33 and MS55 can use Mobile Packet Data Service (MPDS), which means you can stay connected all the time, paying only for the data you send and receive. This means you get the data you need, just when you need it, also ensuring reasonable and predictable airtime costs.
Special features:
• Global voice, added safety and security
• Fax and email, even access your corporate LAN; your office at sea
• MPDS always online, pay only for data and time used
• Internet
The MS33 has a 40 cm boat antenna and offers voice in global beam and
medium speed fax and data within the
spot beams, which cover more than half of the earth.
The MS55 has a 60 cm antenna and
offers voice in global beam, together
with high quality voice and high speed
ISDN, fax, data or MPDS in all areas
covered by spot beams.
