Chemical-Physical Depuration plant.

This plant is split in three compartments: the first one is the coagulation stage (where we add lime wash or an equivalent product), the second one is the flocculation stage where we add polyelectrolyte and the last one is the sedimentation tank.

In the coagulation stage the mixing of the coagulate is done with a high speed stirrer and the detention time is about one minute.

In the flocculation stage the mixing of the polyelectrolyte is done with a slow speed stirrer and the detention time is about thirty minutes.

In the last stage the mud sediment and the time of detention is about sixty minutes. This plant is an pre-mounted one and is realized with structure in carbon steel painted internally with acid resistant paint and externally with epoxidic paint, pump for boat to extract the mud build in cast iron, pump to extract the liquid treated in AISI304, a control panel.

A metering system of acid guarantee the desired PH.

The metering station for the products are done with polyethylene tank of sixty litre and a metering pump in PVC.

The mud of the Chemical-Physical Depuration plant, removed from the low part of the sedimentation stage, are extract and send to drainage mud system done with bag where the mud is hold and the water that pass through go in a tank.

The product scheduled for this system are:

• coagulant (lime wash or equivalent)

• Sulphuric acid

• Emulsified polyelectrolyte (to define)

. On this system will be installed:

a) system to measure the level of the clarify water in the tank (to protect the extraction pump)

b) system to measure the level of PH and dosing of caustic soda

The clarify water that come out from the Chemical-Physical Depuration plant will be sent to a active coal filter that can remove some excess of pollution load.
