Side scan sonar CM800 Sample Images This image shows the performance of the CM800 in HF (325 KHz) mode at the maximum HF range of 150m each side. On the image itself it shows annotation ("WRECK"), range lines at 30m intervals, historical tow fish altitude ("13m"), a broken line at the intersection of the "water column" and the seabed, and time at minute intervals. Each of these types of annotation can be individually suppressed or all annotation can be instantly suppressed using the keypad HIDE/SHOW key. The full resolution of the image is not visible here but can be accessed on the CM800 display itself by zooming in on the area of interest. The two wrecks can be seen lying alongside a stone breakwater. The pale featureless zone to its left lies beyond the point where the breakwater projects above the sea surface and from where no echoes can return. Seabed features on the right of the image include a number of depressions and scour marks, as well as some local patches of high reflectivity seabed (not individual large objects; no shadows) typical of this area. Speed and course-made-good, extracted from incoming nav data, are displayed at the left of the status bar. This image was saved as a bitmap when it was replayed ashore; the time on the right of the status bar is that at replay. HOEKEINDE 5 ? 4254 LM SLEEUWIJK ? THE NETHERLANDS ?
