Portable Satellite Tracking Module ST2500

TRACKING MODULE The satellite vehicle/vessel tracking module as we offer works worldwide and can be programmed to sent it’s position on a daily base to an email account. The module is enclosed in a ruggadized weather proof box and is fitted with magnets for rapid installation on steel surfaces. The module is self powered and if placed in direct sunlight area it can operate continuously. For positioning and communication it uses 2 antennas. A small Boat gps antenna with max. 5 meters cable and a whip marine antenna for the satellite communications. Both antenna’s are fitted with a magnet. When selecting the antenna site, ensure that the location gives an unobstructed azimuth and elevation line-of-sight. This allows the antenna to locate, lock on, and track the satellite during operation of the Data Communicator. It should be avoided to locate the antenna near reflecting objects which can cause degradation in certain directions. While the ST2500 is certified to meet EMI/RFI standards, certain precautions should be taken when installing its antenna, to ensure proper operation and performance. The antenna and the antenna cable must not be in the proximity of boat radar installations, other MARINE VHF radio antennas, or high-voltage transmission lines or transformer sites.
