For even high UV and scratch protection use Seajet Polyurethane Gloss
Boat varnish.
Interiors can be painted with Seajet Satin Varnish. As an alternative use Seajet
Teak Oil to enhance the beauty of the wood and give a natural looking finish.Removeanyoldvarnishlayersinpoorconditionbysandingorstripping.Toimproveadhesiontothewood,degreaseoilywoodslikepine,bywipingwithSEAJET
THINNER.SandthesurfacewithP80P180alongthegrain,followedbyP280
P320,untilitisverysmooth.Someextraeffortatthisstagewillberewardedwitha
betterqualityfinish.Removealldustbythinnerwipingandallowtocompletelydry.For existing varnish in good condition, clean with SEAJET BOATWASH. Washdown with fresh water and let it dry. Flatten back with P280P320 abrasive paper
and clean the surface with a tack rag.Theobjectiveistoachieveaglasslikefinish.Thiscanonlybeachievedwithmultiplecoats.Sothinthefirstcoatby50%onbarewood.Thinthesecondcoatby25%,the
thirdby10%andthenapplyadditionalcoats,thinningifnecessaryby5%.Applya
totalof7or8coatsforaglasslikefinish.SandbetweencoatswithP320P400fora
betterfinish.Forinteriors,applytwocoatsofSatinVarnishoverSeajetUVVarnish.TIPS: Onceavarnishhasbeenapplied,itneedsyearlymaintenance.Werecom-mendtoppingthesystemupwithatleastonecoatperyear.Applyvarnishwitha
loadedbrushorroller,thenbrushoutfirstlyacrossthegrain,followedbyalongthe
grain.Workasmall,onesquaremetreareaatatimetoavoiditdryingbeforeyou
havefinishedbrushing.Avoidpaintingvarnishwhendamporindirectsunlight.
