ENGLISH The correct positioning of the wishbone in the notch of the shaft must be carefully controlled and followed by a slow release of the slings once loading has been com- pleted (Drawing 8). Do not use the Arrow speargun if it shows signs of wear on essential components this includes shafts, slings, barbs, and the triggering mechanism. If in any doubt, do not use and immediately contact an authorized SEACSUB service centre for maintenance and assistance. Never use the Arrow speargun out of the water, given its power, it could be seri- ously damaged and potentially dangerous for people, animals and other objects. Never, for any reason, transport or keep the speargun loaded except when in use underwater.

Now the Arrow speargun is ready to be used, and as a final step, you must remove the safety catch that was previously inserted in order to be able to pull the trigger. Follow national and local laws concern- ing the use and transport of underwater spearguns and relevant laws regarding the minimum age limits for use. Do not load or attempt to load the under- water speargun in any crowded place, or in the vicinity of beaches, public coast- lines, marinas etc. Always load the Arrow speargun in water, ensuring other persons are at a safe distance. Never, for any reason, aim the speargun at people, even if the safety catch is inserted. Always consider the safety catch as an extra precaution and not as a foolproof safety system. Ensure the speargun is positioned cor- rectly before beginning the loading operation. Mark your presence in the water with internationally and locally recognized sig- nal buoys Never shoot any speargun near other divers or swimmers.

Care and maintenance of the Arrow speargun

In order to maintain your Arrow speargun efficiently, you must follow the precautions below:Following each dive, including those in fresh water lakes or rivers, the Arrow speargun must be rinsed outside with fresh running water. The use of de-min- eralized water is recommended. Firstly, ensure all water residues that have entered during diving are removed from the triggering mechanism. Finally, leave the speargun to dry without exposing it extensively to direct sunlight. Periodically lubricate the triggering mech- anism with silicone oil. Never place the Arrow speargun near to sharp or heavy equipment that may cause 9.10.11.
